You may remember my friend Wren who was diagnosed with cancer. I made her and her baby girl each a quilt a while back. A bit after that I used leftovers from those quilts and a layer cake of Bliss that I had on hand to start a Starry Eyed quilt with the original intention of it to be a Christmas quilt. And it sat, cut out, for quite a while. I finally got back to it last fall.
I’m sad to say that Wren didn’t make it.
So now this quilt is for her too, for us to remember her by. Because I miss her very much. I’m going to figure out something very simple for quilting, and hopefully by next Christmas we will be snuggling with it.

This quilt honors Wren’s memory – it is beautiful, just like her.
