I thought it would be fun this year to make my mom and mother-in-law some pretty cloth napkins for Mother’s Day. I spent a long time picking out the fabrics and ended up going with two prints from Joel Dewberry’s new Aviary 2 line. Are these not absolutely gorgeous? I really wanted to keep them for myself.

And here’s the awesome serger that made this all possible and that I forgot to blog about. This was a Christmas present from my parents. I’ve been slowly learning how to use it; it seems more complicated than a regular sewing machine, but that could be because I’ve used a regular sewing machine since I was about ten years old. I’m looking forward to making some clothing this summer with this machine!
