I’m still working on my quilt, but I also got to attend my friend Rebekah’s baby shower on Saturday, so I did a little bit of sewing for it. I already had some burp cloths set aside, ready to go, but I wanted a little something more, so I decided to sew up a cute little swaddling blanket. Rebekah and her husband are waiting to find out the sex of their baby, so I chose some cute neutral prints – dinosaurs in flannel and a green and cream polka-dot in cotton.
I did the top-stitching in a leaf pattern that mimics the leaves around the dinosaurs. These are my favorite types of sewing projects – fast, easy, and beautiful!
On a side note, I won a giveaway! Tiffany at TiggleGiggles ran a giveaway for Make Your Own Contemporary Quilts and a few fat quarters. This book has so many beautiful ideas for quilts! I love it! I’m going to save the fabric for a future quilt. Thanks, Tiffany!
