Last Saturday a bunch of friends and I got together and sewed at our second Ladies’ Sewcial.
We had a bunch of fun sewing and chatting all afternoon.
I ended up bringing some of my homemade jalapeño jelly to share, and it was quite delicious. So delicious, in fact, that once I brought the rest of it home,
Looks like I’ll be making more. I think this is my number one way to use up the jalapeños in the garden.
I didn’t quite finish my quilt-along quilt top at the Sewcial, but I kept working on Sunday, and I finally finished last night.
I’m getting really excited now that it’s coming together. Next up is piecing the back, buying some batting, making the quilt sandwich, and quilting. I’m thinking zig-zag lines mimicking the fabric. I can’t wait to see how it looks.

Yes, that jalapeño jelly was delicious! And your quilt is coming along really beautifully!

That jelly was ridiculous – I want the recipe (even if it was just on the back of something). And I’m so glad you were able to finish up that part of the quilt – it’s beautiful!

Thanks!
Ellie, I followed the recipe in the gel pectin box. You can find the pectin at HEB near the jams and jellies. Just don’t forget to wear gloves! :)
