I got to sew this weekend for Beth‘s Austin baby shower (yay babies). I had a ton of fun with this stuff! First I made a nursing cover (or hooter-hider, as the pattern designer called it), which was super easy to make. I really love this fabric, too. Girly enough for the mom, but blue and yellow so that no one will think there’s a baby girl under there. I added some terrycloth pockets to the two bottom corners for easy cleanup (a tip from my friend Wren, thanks!).

Then I made an Aggie bib, a paci clip, and some little kimono booties. All of these patterns were really easy to follow and I had fun making them. No frustrating or confusing steps involved! Yay! Refer to the links for the free online patterns/tutorials.

And lastly, I couldn’t post this picture of the gift Beth gave me last week for the Dallas shower until after the Austin shower, so here it is. Beth made me a hot/cold therapy pack and some yummy grapefruit sugar body scrub. I was going to make myself a therapy pack, so yay for getting one as a gift, and the scrub smells soooooo yummy that it won’t last long. Thanks Beth!

I’ve got almost three weeks until the next baby shower, so hopefully I can squeeze in some sewing for me. First up will be Beth‘s Diana Hobo that I promised to help pattern test long ago. I’ve gotten bored with the bags that I carry to my office, so I can’t wait to get this one done so that I can carry a fun bag.
